Review Process

The article review process will consist of the following stages:

  • Stage one: Assistant editors evaluate the compliance of the articles submitted for publication with the formal criteria of the journal.

  • Stage two: the editor-in-chief makes sure the articles fit the thematic focus of the review; a desk rejection procedure will be implemented at this stage.

  • Stage three: Articles passing the screenings in the first two stages undergo a double-blind review process. The final decision regarding publication is made by the editors-in-chief.

  • Stage four: Associate editors analyze the articles that received favourable reviews according to their thematic focus. Associate editors make the final recommendation regarding publication to the editor-in-chief who decides on the issue and section in which the article will be published.

  • Stage five: Managing editors make the final recommendations and approve / reject the publication of the articles.
